Description

You will manage database platforms and applications, requiring on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues.
• Manage database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure database system performance and availability.
• Apply data security best practices and compliance regulations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with zDb2, IMS DBDC, and/or ADABAS.
• Proficiency with replication software such as IIDR IBM Infosphere Data Replication Suite.
• Strong understanding of zConnect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) API framework.
• Expertise in IBM DB2 database administration on zOS mainframe platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, DB2 partitioning, indexing, data sharing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with mainframe operating system concepts and JCL.
• Experience with IBM Db2.
• Experience with Adabas, Zdb2, and Ims Dbdc.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with service level management, change management, and incident resolution.
• Experience working with external vendors and managing software upgrades.
