Description

You will manage IBM DB2 on z/OS mainframe platforms, handling backups, recovery, and on-call support for database availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure system performance and availability.
• Apply data security best practices and ensure compliance with regulations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with zDB2, IMS DBDC, and/or ADABAS.
• Expertise in IBM DB2 database administration on z/OS mainframe platforms.
• Proficiency with replication software such as IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR).
• Strong understanding of zConnect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) API framework.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, DB2 partitioning, indexing, data sharing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with mainframe operating system concepts and JCL.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with service level management, change management, and incident resolution.
• Experience working with external vendors and managing software upgrades.
