Description

Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for IBM AIX and multi-vendor storage environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IBM AIX SNAP files to identify and resolve ongoing system problems.
• Perform deep-dive analysis of AIX core and crash dumps using AIX crash or kdb to resolve hardware and software failures.
• Examine IBM DS4000 family and IBM FASSt storage support logs and configurations to troubleshoot storage system issues.
• Review EMC Clariion storage SP-collect support files to determine storage-related problems.
• Evaluate NetApp auto support data and configurations to diagnose hardware or software malfunctions.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in technical support or systems engineering.
• Expertise in IBM AIX troubleshooting and kernel debugging.
• Proficiency with kdb (kernel debugger) or AIX crash tools.
• Experience analyzing IBM DS4000 family or IBM FASSt storage systems.
• Ability to interpret EMC Clariion SP-collect support files.
• Experience using NetApp auto support data for hardware and software diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and storage system architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in any graduate field.
