Description

You will develop and test applications within an IBM mainframe environment using an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test solutions using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Bridge the gap between design and implementation for portals, enterprise search, and interactive forms.
• Provide guidance on industry best practices, guidelines, and governance for mainframe applications and DB2 processes.
• Manage business requirements and identify cross-dependencies on other applications or processes.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Supervise and direct assigned staff, including participating in recruiting and performance reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IBM mainframe development.
• Mastery of COBOL, JCL, and DB2 programming.
• Proficiency in relational database modeling and advanced SQL queries/procedures.
• Experience bridging DB2 batch processes to SQL databases.
• Competency with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Experience using JIRA for work item management.
• Ability to create and execute unit tests using established frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of web application technologies.
