Description

You will develop and test IBM mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 within an Agile/Scrum framework.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test solutions using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Bridge the gap between design and implementation for portals, enterprise search, and interactive forms.
• Manage business requirements and identify cross-dependencies across applications.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Supervise assigned staff, including recruiting and performance reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IBM mainframe development.
• Mastery of COBOL, JCL, and DB2 programming.
• Proficiency in relational database modeling and advanced SQL queries/procedures.
• Experience bridging DB2 batch processes to SQL databases.
• Competency with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Experience using JIRA for work item management.
• Ability to create and execute unit tests using established frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of web application technologies.
