Description

You will maintain and evolve the legacy TALON core banking system, focusing on modernization and integration.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing CICS Assembler applications to COBOL.
• Support and manage interfaces using CICS MQ Series to modern front-end systems.
• Maintain and evolve existing COBOL and Assembler applications on the mainframe.
• Work with legacy system components, including obscure CICS VICI code.
• Utilize ServiceNow and Jira for project and maintenance tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL and Assembler programming.
• Experience with IBM DB2 and Oracle Banking interfaces (VISA, ATM, ACH).
• Familiarity with CICS environment and 3270 buffer commands.
• Experience using service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Knowledge of security protocols like IBM IDz.
• Experience with version control or documentation tools like SharePoint.
• Understanding of z/OS migration contexts (VSE to z/OS).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Duo VPN for secure remote access.
