Description

You will manage and maintain the IBM Mainframe z/OS platform while leading production control teams and technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the support, maintenance, and capacity planning for the IBM Mainframe z/OS platform.
  • Manage the Production Control team and coordinate with managed service provider resources.
  • Execute IPL/upgrade schedules, support ticket tracking, and batch cycle analysis.
  • Analyze job batch and backlogs to speed up resolution through collaboration with support areas.
  • Lead technical projects and engage business partners to deliver required outcomes.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of IT work experience with at least 5 years managing mainframe support teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience designing and deploying complex mainframe IT solutions.
  • Deep technical knowledge of COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, and related utilities.
  • Hands-on experience with CICS, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, MF Automation, and RACF.
  • Proficiency with CA7 batch scheduling and mainframe/server systems.
  • Experience with Sysplex, online and batch processing, DB2, and IPL management.
  • Working knowledge of Throughput Manager, Workload Manager, or similar tools.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, monitoring/alerting tools, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud, distributed systems, or high-performance computing.
