Description

You will manage, maintain, and support IBM MQ and Red Hat AMQ messaging environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer, deploy, and integrate IBM MQ versions 8.x and higher, including installation and configuration.
• Build dedicated Queue Managers and manage MQ clustering, pub/sub, and listener ports.
• Execute security hardening using TLS encryption and Authority/Authentication Records.
• Perform MQ clustering, tuning, issue research, and performance monitoring for messaging applications.
• Handle upgrades, downgrades, and Fixpack installations, including backup and recovery processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IBM MQ administration and support.
• Mandatory experience with Red Hat AMQ 7.5.0.GA or higher.
• Deep knowledge of IBM MQ 8.0, 9.0, and higher environments.
• Proficiency with MQSC commands for administration tasks.
• Experience managing Queue Managers in hub and spoke (MQ Client) environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX systems.
• Strong understanding of security concepts and middleware implementation.
• Experience developing and implementing MQ-level monitoring solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of MQ-related cloud implementations.
