Description

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of IBM MQ messaging middleware. This role ensures high availability and disaster recovery for the messaging platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design MQ architectures ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).
• Configure queues and queue managers to meet functional, security, and performance requirements.
• Automate the build and deployment of queue configurations and IBM MQ cluster setup.
• Manage patching, maintenance, and operational requirements for the messaging platform.
• Troubleshoot issues for application teams and coordinate with vendors for technical support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MQ architecture or leadership roles.
• Expertise in IBM MQ design and implementation.
• Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations.
• Ability to automate queue configuration builds and deployments.
• Experience automating the setup of IBM MQ clusters.
• Proven track record of managing patching and system maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for messaging middleware.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
