Description

You will administer the IBM WebSphere MQ environment on distributed systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM WebSphere MQ (v8.x/v9.x) on Linux, Unix, and Windows.
• Design and maintain messaging infrastructure, including queue managers, queues, channels, and listeners.
• Monitor and tune MQ component performance, proactively addressing issues.
• Implement and support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting languages.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Expertise in Linux and Unix system administration.
• Proficiency in Windows environment management.
• Scripting capabilities using Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Experience configuring MQ security, including SSL/TLS and access control.
• Ability to manage MQ clustering and distributed queuing.
• Experience supporting 24x7 on-call rotations.
