Description

Design and architect scalable Ignition SCADA and MES solutions for manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect Ignition solutions using core and strategic partner modules for manufacturing applications.
• Design scalable, secure SCADA/MES systems, including databases, reporting, and scripting resources.
• Create project development and commissioning plans by analyzing technical and operational constraints.
• Analyze project requirements and interact with clients to define enhancements and support needs.
• Guide the design of tag providers, Ignition Edge/Enterprise architecture, and database interfaces.

Required Skills

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA system architecture, design, and development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for database design following RDBMS guidelines.
• Deep understanding of Ignition drivers and connectivity, including OPC and ICS protocols.
• Experience with Ignition Edge and Enterprise architecture.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and manufacturing domain standards (ISA 95 and ISA 88).
• Experience with database design and interfaces.
• Strong analytical and issue-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Ignition Core or Gold Certification.
• Working knowledge of Sepasoft or equivalent MES products.
• Understanding of back-end computing infrastructure, virtualization, and containerization.
