Description

You will design, configure, and implement Ignition SCADA solutions for industrial automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Ignition SCADA systems and MES integrations with ERP and shop-floor devices.
• Implement industrial communication protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus.
• Write Python scripts to automate processes, handle data, and enhance system functionality.
• Utilize IoT platforms like Azure IoT or AWS IoT for real-time monitoring and data acquisition.
• Resolve technical issues to ensure high system availability and analyze operational data for performance improvements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Ignition SCADA software design, configuration, and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data handling.
• Deep understanding of industrial communication protocols: OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus.
• Experience with databases, specifically SQL (MySQL, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Knowledge of MES systems and IoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT).
• Programming experience in Java or C#.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Ignition Certification (Core or Gold).
• Exposure to MES platforms such as Siemens SIMATIC IT or Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in industrial environments.
