Description

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using COBOL and IMS DB.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support online (IMS DC/CICS) and batch processing applications.
• Create and optimize IMS DB database structures, including DBDs and PSBs.
• Maintain JCL, utilities, and batch job scheduling processes.
• Perform program analysis, debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Support application modernization, system upgrades, and data migration initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe application development.
• Strong expertise in COBOL and IMS DB.
• Experience with IMS DC (Transaction Manager).
• Proficiency in JCL and IBM utilities (DFSORT, IDCAMS, IEBGENER).
• Strong understanding of batch and online transaction processing.
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS and SQL.
• Knowledge of VSAM, GDGs, and sequential file processing.
• Familiarity with source control tools like Endevor, Changeman, or ISPW.
