Description

You will own PLC programming for multi-axis motion control systems, primarily using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and Structured Text. You will maintain and refactor messy, inherited PLC codebases rather than building from scratch. This is an on-site role in San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC logic for multi-axis motion control using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and Structured Text.
• Refactor and debug existing, complex PLC codebases to improve stability and performance.
• Collaborate on factory floor implementations involving collaborative robots.
• Apply code management and governance practices to PLC environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of PLC programming experience.
• Deep expertise in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and Structured Text.
• Experience with multi-axis motion control systems.
• Proven track record of working with inherited, non-greenfield PLC code.
• Willingness to relocate to or reside in the Bay Area or San Diego.

Preferred Skills

• Background in consumer electronics or high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with collaborative robots on the factory floor.
