Description

You will monitor and manage the organization's information security posture, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain information security policies and standards.
• Assist in preparing for and remediating findings from security audits (e.g., IRS, SSA, FBI).
• Recommend security safeguards during the development of new and legacy IT systems.
• Perform periodic audits to ensure security policies and standards are followed and effective.
• Interface with users to understand security needs and implement accommodating procedures, including training.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in information security analysis or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal legislation pertaining to information system security and privacy.
• Thorough knowledge of software vulnerabilities, scanning tools, and remediation.
• Experience developing and maintaining information security standards.
• Proficiency in information security management tools and procedures.
• Ability to apply complex computer logic to security challenges.
• Experience assessing security needs and conducting security training.
• Knowledge of Network Security and Cyber Security principles.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in information security or technology.
• Security certification (e.g., CISSP).
