Description

You will lead the multi-stage migration of Informatica PowerCenter from version 8.1.1 to 10.5.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute sequential upgrades of Informatica PowerCenter through versions 8.6.1, 9.5.1, 9.6.1, and 10.5.
• Define hardware specifications for virtual servers and install PowerCenter components, clients, and ODBC on Windows 2019/2022.
• Migrate Informatica objects, workflows, worklets, and tasks, including repository upgrades and verification.
• Set up test environments, migrate production repositories to test, and manage sequence ID synchronization.
• Provide technical knowledge transfer and training to staff for ongoing software maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter software installation across multiple versions.
• Proven track record in Informatica PowerCenter upgrade and migration projects.
• Strong background in end-to-end ETL process development using Informatica.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, transformations, mappings, and workflows.
• Proficiency in standard SQL.
• Ability to specify hardware requirements for virtual server environments.
• Experience applying best practices to ETL development, testing, scheduling, and monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with legacy Informatica PowerCenter versions, specifically 8.1.1.
• Informatica Certified Professional status.
• Experience with performance tuning.
