Description

You will lead the migration from Informatica ETL to modern ELT architecture on Snowflake within Azure.

Responsibilities

• Translate existing Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions into modular dbt models (staging, core, mart layers).
• Define and implement performance-optimized patterns in dbt and Snowflake, including incremental models and query tuning.
• Lead the overall migration strategy, roadmap, and wave planning for the Informatica to dbt conversion.
• Design and implement a repeatable migration factory, including templates and conversion playbooks for Informatica to dbt.
• Oversee conversion validation, unit testing, and parallel runs to ensure dbt outputs match legacy results.

Required Skills

• 8+ years total experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
• 3+ years hands-on experience building production-grade pipelines using dbt (Core or Cloud).
• Proven experience leading an Informatica to dbt migration targeting Snowflake on Azure or similar environments.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake: designing schemas, views, warehouses, and performance optimization.
• Solid working knowledge of the Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure DevOps/GitHub.
• Experience defining and enforcing dbt testing strategies (schema, data, custom tests).
• Experience setting up and maintaining dbt environments and connections to Snowflake.
