Description

Lead the migration of legacy Informatica ETL workloads to a modern dbt on Snowflake architecture integrated with Azure services. You will own the release pipeline, define ELT standards, and execute the technical roadmap for converting Informatica mappings into modular dbt models.

Responsibilities

• Define target ELT architecture using dbt on Snowflake, integrated with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse/Databricks, and Key Vault.
• Translate legacy Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions into modular dbt models across staging, core, and mart layers.
• Establish modeling standards including naming conventions, layer design, and folder/package structures for all data layers.
• Implement performance-optimized patterns in dbt and Snowflake, including incremental models, clustering, partitioning, and query tuning.
• Oversee the migration factory by creating templates, accelerators, and conversion playbooks to streamline Informatica-to-dbt conversion.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of total experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) building production-grade pipelines.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Informatica to dbt/Snowflake migrations on Azure.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake: designing schemas, views, warehouses, and performance optimization.
• Solid working knowledge of Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Azure DevOps/GitHub.
• Experience with Informatica mappings, workflows, and session management.
• Ability to design and implement testing strategies using dbt tests (schema, data, and custom tests).

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading hands-on development of dbt seeds, snapshots, macros, and documentation.
• Background in setting up and maintaining dbt environments (dev/test/prod) and profiles.
