Description

Lead the migration from Informatica to a modern ELT architecture on Snowflake using dbt and Azure services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define the target ELT architecture using dbt on Snowflake, integrated with Azure services.
• Translate legacy Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions into modular dbt models.
• Lead the migration strategy, roadmap, and wave planning for converting Informatica jobs.
• Design and implement performance-optimized patterns in dbt and Snowflake (incremental models, clustering, partitioning).
• Oversee conversion, unit testing, and parallel runs to validate dbt models against legacy outputs.

Required Skills

• 8+ years total experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) building production-grade pipelines.
• Proven experience leading an Informatica to dbt migration to Snowflake on Azure.
• Strong Snowflake experience designing schemas, views, warehouses, and performance tuning.
• Solid working knowledge of the Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure DevOps/GitHub.
• Expertise in Data Warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience implementing and enforcing code quality practices via pull requests and code reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks and Key Vault within the Azure ecosystem.
