Lead the migration of legacy Informatica ETL workloads to a modular dbt on Snowflake architecture on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate legacy Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions into modular dbt models across staging, core, and mart layers.
• Define target ELT architecture using dbt, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse/Databricks, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps/GitHub.
• Design performance-optimized patterns in dbt and Snowflake, including incremental models, clustering, partitioning logic, and query tuning.
• Establish modeling standards, naming conventions, and folder/package structures for staging, integration, and mart layers.
• Oversee conversion, unit testing, and parallel runs to validate that dbt models match legacy outputs for row counts, aggregates, and business rules.

Required Skills

• 10+ years total experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) building production-grade pipelines.
• Proven experience leading Informatica to dbt/Snowflake migrations or large-scale ETL modernization.
• Strong Snowflake experience: designing schemas, views, warehouses, and performance optimization.
• Solid working knowledge of Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse/Databricks, Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD and version control.
• Ability to design repeatable migration factories, templates, and conversion playbooks.
