Lead the migration of legacy Informatica ETL workflows to a modern dbt on Snowflake architecture on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define target ELT architecture using dbt on Snowflake, integrated with Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Synapse/Databricks, Key Vault, Azure DevOps/GitHub).
• Translate legacy Informatica mappings, workflows, and sessions into modular dbt models across staging, core, and mart layers.
• Lead the migration strategy, roadmap, and wave planning, including designing a repeatable migration factory with templates and accelerators.
• Oversee conversion, unit testing, and parallel runs to validate that dbt models match legacy outputs and business rules.
• Establish modeling standards, performance-optimized patterns (incremental models, clustering), and code quality practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years total experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) building production-grade pipelines.
• Proven experience leading an Informatica to dbt migration to Snowflake on Azure or similar large-scale ETL modernization.
• Strong Snowflake experience: designing schemas, views, warehouses, and performance optimization.
• Solid working knowledge of Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure DevOps/GitHub.
• Ability to analyze existing ETL logic, dependencies, and schedules to design equivalent or improved logic in dbt.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Synapse and Databricks within the Azure ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Key Vault for secure credential management.
