Description

You will support classified programs onsite at Point Mugu Naval Air Station, owning the security posture of computer networks and systems of systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor security measures for standalone and interconnected systems.
• Assess system vulnerabilities and implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with DIACAP and RMF processes.
• Ensure security controls protect digital files and electronic infrastructure from breaches and viruses.
• Review and analyze audit log event data using Splunk to identify anomalies.

Required Skills

• 3 to 10 years of practical computer security experience in secure network and system design.
• Experience with auditing, analysis, procedure generation, and implementation of security mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of Splunk Enterprise SIEM for log analysis.
• Familiarity with DoD Directive 8570.01 IAM Level 2 requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to acquire and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Security+ or CISSP certification (or NSA equivalent).
• US citizen eligible to pass a counter-intelligence polygraph examination.

Education

• BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Science, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Substitution allowed: 6 additional years of relevant experience for a Bachelor's, or 4 additional years for an Associate's degree.
