Description

You will lead the management and administration of Linux server environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of Linux servers, overseeing installation, configuration, and hardware/software maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor a team of Linux server administrators, providing technical expertise and guidance.
• Implement security measures, patch management strategies, and compliance policies to protect server environments.
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Automate server management tasks and monitor performance to proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 12-17 years of experience in Linux server management and team leadership.
• Expertise in Linux operating systems including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as KVM and VMware.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Solid understanding of server hardware, storage, and networking concepts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex server issues and manage infrastructure scaling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE or CompTIA Linux+.
• IT experience within the banking industry.
