Information Technology (IT) Specialist

You will maintain and support information technology systems in stand-alone and client-server environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, service, and repair hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers.
• Integrate multiple information systems within networked environments to maintain mission capability.
• Configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Local Area and Base Area Networks.
• Resolve customer information system problems and perform required hardware upgrades.

Required Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience in IT systems support.
• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.
• IPv6.
• Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
• Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
• Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
• Network Address Translation (NAT).
• Experience with MS server and Defense Message Systems.

Education

• High School diploma or GED.
