Description

You will own network security operations and engineering support for federal government customers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate new security products and services for network security operations.
• Supervise junior engineers during the design, testing, and implementation of network security infrastructure.
• Perform lifecycle testing and operational support on SOA-based security architectures to maintain NIST compliance.
• Manage enterprise configuration and provide tier 2/3 technical support for WAF, IDS, Load Balancers, Next Generation Firewalls, and API Gateways.
• Develop and maintain network security technical documentation following established systems engineering processes.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of related experience in information security or systems engineering.
• At least 2 years of network security engineering experience involving specification, testing, and deployment of security devices.
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, IDS, WAF, and VPN technologies.
• Proficiency with Next Generation Firewalls and API Gateways.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance.
• Capacity to support weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP certifications.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with NIST/FISMA controls and performing engineering analysis on system logs and event data.
