Description

Manage and maintain Informix database systems to ensure stability, performance, and availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Informix database systems, configurations, and space allocations.
• Monitor database activity, performance, and usage statistics to tune for optimal response times.
• Execute database migrations, conversions, data reorganizations, and changes across development, test, and production environments.
• Manage backups, restores, and database archives.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical guidance to application developers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Informix database management and maintenance.
• Proficiency in writing UNIX scripts.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Experience writing Stored Procedures and Triggers.
• Ability to perform database migrations and data reorganizations.
• Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills

• Develop database security procedures and implement automated alerts and reporting.
