Description

Act as design authority for complex VMware-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) architectures. You will own the automation of infrastructure build-outs and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement VMware PaaS solutions using vRealize Orchestrator (VRO), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and NSX-T.
• Configure and optimize VRO workflows to automate provisioning, deployment, and management tasks.
• Automate ESXi host build-outs and manage lifecycle patching using CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Network, Storage, and SIEM Architects to ensure end-to-end infrastructure integration.
• Develop architectural diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and VMware environments.
• Expertise in vRealize Orchestrator (VRO), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and NSX-T.
• Hands-on experience with ESXi host lifecycle management and automation.
• Practical knowledge of NFS and iSCSI storage solutions.
• Experience configuring Storage DRS, VMhost DRS, and Affinity Rules.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline automation for infrastructure deployment.
• Understanding of CIS benchmarking to maintain security standards.
• Ability to work within agile methodologies and participate in JIRA ceremonies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing small to medium design teams.
