Description

Automate environment deployments and manage configurations through code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend Puppet modules for automated environment deployments and configuration management.
• Write, edit, and maintain code in Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Manage the full lifecycle of virtual servers, including commissioning and decommissioning systems.
• Write well-documented code and include comprehensive test cases for all scripts.
• Collaborate with internal customers to define and agree on technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience with system administration scripting in Bash or Python.
• 3-5 years of experience with Linux automation technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Satellite, or Ansible.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ruby, and REST APIs.
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix systems within large enterprise environments requiring strict change control.
• Strong understanding of Linux security, patching, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Unix shell programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of software development, release management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working within Agile practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware vRealize Suite.
• Experience with Google Cloud.
• Deep expertise with Puppet.
