Description

You manage and maintain the database environments that underpin the organization's computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement database designs, including the creation and maintenance of cloud databases.
• Allocate resources such as storage, compute, and memory while performing capacity planning and demand forecasting.
• Implement strategies for high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and replication.
• Coordinate and manage the migration of databases to the Azure platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and non-production database issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Database Administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 LUW, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale database projects.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based database technologies including Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, or Azure SQL for PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in SQL language, database principles, and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, nights, splits, or weekends.
