You will own the design, implementation, and management of critical database infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement database designs, including creation and maintenance of cloud databases.
Allocate resources such as Storage, Compute, and Memory for database systems.
Implement strategies for HA, Failover DR, and Replication across database environments.
Fine-tune database systems to improve performance, scalability, and reliability, including query optimization and indexing.
Coordinate and manage database migrations to the Azure platform.
Required Skills
4 to 5 or more years of Database Administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 LUW, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
4 to 5 or more years of experience working with large-scale database projects.
4 to 5 years of experience with cloud-based database technologies (Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL for PostgreSQL).
Proficiency in SQL language, database principles, and data modeling.
Experience with cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
Proficiency in SQL Server and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
Ability to triage, identify, and resolve complex production and non-production database issues.
Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
