Description

You will own the design, implementation, and management of critical database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement database designs, including creation and maintenance of cloud databases.
• Allocate resources such as Storage, Compute, and Memory for database systems.
• Implement strategies for HA, Failover DR, and Replication across database environments.
• Fine-tune database systems to improve performance, scalability, and reliability, including query optimization and indexing.
• Coordinate and manage database migrations to the Azure platform.

Required Skills

• 4 to 5 or more years of Database Administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 LUW, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• 4 to 5 or more years of experience working with large-scale database projects.
• 4 to 5 years of experience with cloud-based database technologies (Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL for PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in SQL language, database principles, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
• Ability to triage, identify, and resolve complex production and non-production database issues.
• Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
