Description

You will own the design, implementation, and management of critical database infrastructure across on-site environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database architectures, including cloud-based solutions and resource allocation for storage, compute, and memory.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and replication strategies to ensure system reliability.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and scalability improvements.
• Coordinate and execute database migrations, specifically targeting the Azure platform.
• Triage and resolve complex production and non-production database issues using ITSM tools.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Database Administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 LUW, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• 4+ years of experience managing large-scale database projects.
• Proficiency in cloud-based database technologies, specifically Azure SQL, Azure SQL MI, and Azure SQL for PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in SQL language, database principles, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
• Ability to identify and resolve complex database issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with workflow and ITSM ticketing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
