Description

You will design, develop, and support complex IBM MQ messaging infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-level MQ messaging solutions, including QMGRs, clusters, and channels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve medium to high complexity application defects and messaging issues.
• Write and review design specifications, code, and unit tests independently.
• Research and recommend new tools to improve messaging infrastructure and processes.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of IBM MQ and IIB support and implementation experience in large environments.
• Extensive experience managing MQ clusters and high availability (HA) setups.
• Proven expertise with RDQM configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Red Hat Linux and AIX systems.
• Proficiency in UNIX Shell scripting and Python.
• Background managing environments with thousands of queues and dozens of qmgrs.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MQ SSL and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of general MQ/RDQM design principles and business continuity strategies.
