Good to Have Skills: Azure Networking expertise in Private DNS Zones, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, and BGP routing with strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with Azure Landing Zones architecture and implementation. Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) management including Helm and GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and Flux. Azure API Management (APIM) experience for secure API exposure, OAuth, and Managed Identities. Data & AI Services experience with Databricks, Machine Learning via AKS, and Azure OpenAI Services. WAF/CDN Solutions experience with Akamai and Azure Front Door. Security automation including Wiz integrations and governance policies. Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, and PowerBI knowledge.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure ensuring high availability, performance, and security standards.
- Provision, configure and support AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Control tower, and AWS Costs/Finances.
- Support cloud networking including VPNs, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Network ACLs, and Direct Connect configurations.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, IAM policies, encryption, logging, and compliance controls across cloud environments.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions following Azure best practices and governance standards.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Design, manage, and secure AKS clusters including Helm and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Flux.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps for infrastructure and API automation processes.
- Lead effort to plan, engineer, and design infrastructure while evaluating and recommending enhancements to existing systems.
- Work with IT Architects to ensure modified infrastructure interacts appropriately and meets performance requirements of projects.
- Lead effort to develop and configure infrastructure from conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platforms.
- Implement infrastructure by analyzing current system environment, using technical tools and utilities, and performing complex product customization.
- Conduct routine infrastructure analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and expand service levels.
- Provide cost estimates for new projects and collaborate in creation of work and design documents.
- Perform project management for on-boarding requests, collaborate with teams on scheduling actions and follow change control processes.
- Mentor teams, drive cloud automation initiatives, and encourage certifications in Azure and AWS technologies.
- Evaluate workload placements based on cost, performance, and security considerations for optimal resource utilization.
Experience Required: Typically requires 5-8 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services required. Prior experience supporting Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems in corporate environment required. Prior experience designing/supporting IAAS infrastructure in public cloud strongly preferred.
Education: 4 year degree required; or advanced degree with reduced experience; or equivalent work experience
