Description

You will manage and optimize compute foundational infrastructure in a large-scale, high-availability production environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and tune VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Own compute infrastructure maintenance, including vulnerability remediation, configuration management, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dell EMC PowerEdge, HP ProLiant, and Cisco UCS hardware.
• Lead performance testing to identify bottlenecks and capacity demands.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to manage alerts, incidents, and change requests.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in compute foundational infrastructure, including virtualization, server administration, storage, and backups.
• 3+ years of experience with VMware products, specifically the vSphere suite (version 7.0 and up).
• Hands-on experience as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an enterprise-class environment.
• Proficiency with automation tools including PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and configuring ESXi and vCenter.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Linux, Active Directory, and DNS.
• Experience with F5 Big IP Load balancers and data migrations.
• Ability to maintain security standards and perform emergency patching.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAN systems such as Brocade, Pure Storage, or NetApp.
• Deep knowledge of next-generation applications and cloud platforms.
