Description

You will manage the assembly, configuration, and migration of Cisco server infrastructure in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure Cisco HyperFlex nodes and UCS-X servers, including chassis, compute nodes, and fabric interconnects.
• Execute workload migrations from Cisco HyperFlex clusters to UCS-X Series B infrastructure.
• Integrate new UCS-X systems into VMware environments by configuring ESXi hosts and vCenter connectivity.
• Perform physical data center tasks including rack mounting, cabling, and firmware updates.
• Document network diagrams, configuration settings, and migration procedures for operational handovers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in server hardware assembly and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco UCS architecture, UCS Manager, and fabric interconnects.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco HyperFlex environments.
• Proficiency in VMware ESXi and vCenter Server management.
• Experience configuring network and storage connectivity for server operating systems.
• Proven ability to manage server migrations and resource reconfiguration.
• Strong technical documentation skills for build and migration procedures.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience migrating workloads specifically from HyperFlex to UCS-X Series B.
