Description

Lead strategic sourcing and architecture for complex IT infrastructure solutions, defining technical requirements and evaluating supplier proposals.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements development sessions with cross-functional teams to define needs for integrated IT solutions.
• Evaluate networking, computing hardware, and software capabilities to draft detailed technical requirements and project plans.
• Review supplier proposals technically, assessing feasibility within existing infrastructure and providing feedback to RFP teams.
• Conduct market research and strategy planning, including contributing to Requests for Information and facilitating supplier engagement.
• Prepare technical reports and summaries for leadership to ensure architectural decisions support key RFP milestones.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Senior Solutions Architect or in equivalent infrastructure roles.
• Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, including server, storage, data center services, and network services.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and RFP development.
• Proficiency in requirements discovery, solution context formulation, and technology selection.
• Experience with High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and IT security architectures.
• Ability to lead technical interviews and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience reviewing and evaluating hardware and software proposals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with end-user services (PCs, laptops, tablets) and support infrastructure.
