Description

You will design and implement infrastructure components for COTS projects and software application systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Formulate architectures through requirements discovery, analysis, and technology selection.
• Lead software application projects as a technical lead for agency services.
• Collaborate with client architects, senior managers, and project managers to design solution infrastructure.
• Create and update system architecture, technical design, and functional documentation.
• Provide technical support to team members, vendors, and agency system users.

Required Skills

• 8-9 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and complex system administration.
• 6 years of experience as a technical lead or subject matter expert.
• 6 years of Microsoft server administration experience.
• 4 years of experience maintaining web servers such as IIS or Apache.
• 4 years of experience evaluating network and system security.
• 4 years of experience creating technical specifications for hardware and software.
• Extensive knowledge of distributed platforms, networking, databases, and high availability/disaster recovery.
• Experience in web infrastructure design including IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, load balancing, clustering, and failover.
• Proficiency in ITIL engineering methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Database administration and SQL query experience.
• Application security experience.
