Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of open-source software across virtual and physical environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure relational databases, web servers, and middleware within Linux-based environments.
• Deploy applications using containers and coordinate with subject matter experts to allocate resources.
• Troubleshoot network communication issues involving DNS, firewalls, and certificate installation.
• Apply software patches to remediate security vulnerabilities and manage user account provisioning.
• Develop technical documentation including installation plans, System Security Plans (SSP), and Enterprise Solution Architecture Assessments (EASA).

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Verifiable experience with Red Hat OpenShift for application deployment.
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
• 4+ years of experience installing and supporting Apache Kafka.
• 4+ years of experience working within a Red Hat Linux environment, including administration, networking, and security.
• 4+ years of experience installing and configuring open-source SQL databases such as Presto DB and PostgreSQL.
• 4+ years of experience with Apache HTTP server installation and maintenance.
• 4+ years of experience using scripting to automate tasks and maintain environments.
• 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining Elasticsearch, Redis, Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot database connections, perform backups, and develop basic queries.
