Description

You will support the computing and communication environment, covering desktop, servers, network infrastructure, wireless, and voice/data systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up personal computers, telephones, network equipment, and peripherals using defined processes.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and monitor communication devices including switches, hubs, wireless devices, MESH networking components, voice systems, and RF systems.
• Maintain network infrastructure using both copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Assist in managing site servers, process control infrastructure, virtual/physical servers, and storage devices.
• Support MIS and process infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with MIS policies and safety programs.

Required Skills

• 4 years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware and software troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair with one relevant technical certification, OR 6 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with switches, hubs, and wireless devices.
• Knowledge of MESH networking components and RF systems.
• Proficiency with voice systems and network infrastructure (copper and fiber optic).
• Ability to follow verbal and written technical and safety instructions in English.
• Capability to work in a manufacturing or mine environment involving temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, and electrical risks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work non-standard schedules in a 24/7/365 operation.
