You will support the computing and communication environment, covering desktop, servers, network infrastructure, wireless, and voice/data systems.
Responsibilities
Install and set up personal computers, telephones, network equipment, and peripherals using defined processes.
Configure, troubleshoot, and monitor communication devices including switches, hubs, wireless devices, MESH networking components, voice systems, and RF systems.
Maintain network infrastructure using both copper and fiber optic cabling.
Assist in managing site servers, process control infrastructure, virtual/physical servers, and storage devices.
Support MIS and process infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with MIS policies and safety programs.
Required Skills
4 years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware and software troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair with one relevant technical certification, OR 6 years of equivalent experience.
Experience with switches, hubs, and wireless devices.
Knowledge of MESH networking components and RF systems.
Proficiency with voice systems and network infrastructure (copper and fiber optic).
Ability to follow verbal and written technical and safety instructions in English.
Capability to work in a manufacturing or mine environment involving temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, and electrical risks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and standing for extended periods.
Flexibility to work non-standard schedules in a 24/7/365 operation.
