Description

You provide technical leadership for the repair, upgrade, and calibration of dynamometer test systems, instrumentation, and controls across 128 conventional and electrified powertrain test cells.

Responsibilities

• Direct technicians in the repair and modification of test equipment to maximize facility uptime.
• Lead the installation of new and modified test cells for hybrid and electrified propulsion testing.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on test equipment and control systems.
• Manage workforce tasks and interface with customers, management, and suppliers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation or test engineering.
• Expertise in AC and DC dynamometer systems.
• Proficiency with PLC systems, including ladder logic and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with Battery Emulators and their application in eMotor and EDM testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis capabilities.
• Experience working with union-represented employees and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of test cell instrumentation and control systems support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EDM and EIE.
