Description

You design and maintain API integrations that connect third-party applications with internal systems for data retrieval and ingestion.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable endpoints using authentication, version control, and messaging best practices.
• Implement translation layers to map external data structures onto internal data models.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations to ensure consistent data availability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, DBA, and Cloud teams to support MDM, ETL workflows, and reporting.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical recommendations to align solutions with enterprise architecture.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience designing and building API integrations with third-party software.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, and GraphQL protocols.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth and API keys for authentication.
• Expertise in JSON and XML data formats.
• Demonstrated ability in complex data mapping and translation between disparate models.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of MDM, ETL, and data service architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ed-Fi or education data standards.
• Background in public benefits, early childcare, or health and human services sectors.
