Overview

We are looking for an Integration Platform Engineer to support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives. This role will act as a critical bridge between application development teams and cloud/platform engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration, modernization, and communication across systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement application integration solutions for cloud and hybrid environments.
Collaborate with development and platform teams to define integration and migration strategies.
Analyze and modernize legacy applications, particularly Java-based systems.
Design and implement messaging and event-driven architectures.
Support migration of applications from on-premises environments to AWS.
Communicate effectively across teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable integration solutions.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate messaging technologies and integration patterns.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience with application integration and modernization.
Hands-on knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar (deep expertise in at least one required).
Understanding of application communication patterns (REST, event-driven, messaging, etc.).
Experience with Java-based applications and enterprise systems.
Familiarity with AWS services (working knowledge sufficient; deep expertise not required).
Ability to work cross-functionally and act as a liaison between development and platform teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience migrating legacy Java applications from on-prem to AWS.
Familiarity with Angular or modern front-end frameworks.
Experience with WebSphere or legacy middleware platforms.
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware architectures.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
