IoT Backend Engineer

You will build and manage backend systems for IoT data processing and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level code using Rust or C.
• Configure, deploy, and manage MQTT data brokers and SparkplugB implementations.
• Evaluate, select, and manage time series databases or historians.
• Develop and deploy operations hubs within AWS.
• Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in backend or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in Rust or C for system-level programming.
• Experience with MQTT and SparkplugB protocols.
• Hands-on work with time series databases or historians (e.g., Canary, InfluxDB, Timescale).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience managing and deploying services on AWS.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
