Description

You will manage IP network device upgrades, design implementations, and hardware lifecycle tasks across various NYC locations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform IP network device upgrades and implement design changes based on existing configuration standards.
• Assemble, configure, install, and dispose of Cisco routers and switches.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and physical layer issues across copper and fiber infrastructures.
• Coordinate tasks, scheduling, and outage approvals using a work management system.
• Develop network designs, select equipment, and create Bills of Materials.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network design, management, and detailed documentation.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco ASR/ISR routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.
• Proficiency with EIGRP, HSRP, and OSPF protocols.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Layer 2 protocols and configurations.
• Experience in data center environments and addressing physical layer connectivity.
• Ability to apply network security best practices.
• Capacity to work after-hours or weekends for scheduled equipment upgrades.
• Ability to travel within NYC, Westchester, Orange, and Rockland to various sites.
