Description

You will configure, test, and troubleshoot service provider-grade routers and switches.

Responsibilities

• Support routing protocol operations including IS-IS, BGP, Segment Routing, and MPLS in lab and production.
• Perform network testing using tools like Ixia and Spirent to validate performance and scalability.
• Capture and analyze logs during testing to identify issues and document findings.
• Configure and troubleshoot QoS policies, traffic engineering, and routing policies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Deep understanding of IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, and traffic engineering.
• Proficiency with NETCONF, YANG models, and streaming telemetry (gRPC, gNMI).
• Hands-on experience with VRF, EVPN, VPWS, and L2/L3 VPN services.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python.
• Experience with network testing tools (Ixia, Spirent) and log analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Strong fundamentals in Layer 2/3 networking concepts.
• Familiarity with ACLs, protocol authentication, and cryptographic algorithms.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CCNP, JNcia, or JNCIP.
• Experience with automation frameworks and test orchestration tools.
