Description

You will design, execute, and manage software test strategies and defect lifecycles within an iSeries (RPG) environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, integration, system, end-to-end, and acceptance test plans.
• Manage the defect lifecycle by identifying, assigning, monitoring, and communicating resolution status.
• Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test cases and requirement traceability matrices.
• Analyze requirements and user stories for testability, clarity, and potential ambiguity.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and improve automated QA processes.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
• Proven experience testing in an iSeries (RPG) environment.
• Strong proficiency with HP ALM or similar QA test tools.
• Hands-on experience working within Agile or DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with RDBMS, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, or DB2.
• Ability to write SQL queries using table joins.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, build tools, and software configuration management.
• Experience with cloud-based, UI, functional, or n-tier client/server testing.
• Bachelor's degree.
