Description

You will lead quality assurance efforts for an iSeries (RPG) environment, owning the test lifecycle and ensuring software reliability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and mentor team members in developing effective software test plans and detailed test cases.
• Write precise quality defect reports and collaborate directly with developers to drive resolutions.
• Plan testing resources, manage test scheduling, and produce verifiable, consistent test evidence.
• Coordinate with system and database administration teams to ensure environment stability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Hands-on experience testing in an iSeries (RPG) environment.
• Proficiency with HP ALM or similar industry-standard SQA tools.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to write SQL queries using table joins in Oracle, MS SQL Server, or DB2.
• Experience with RDBMS, n-tier client/server architecture, functional testing, or UI testing.
• Understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards.
• Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
