Description

Develop and maintain applications on the iSeries platform, owning project tasks through direct communication with client-site analysts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and create new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Develop and modify complex SQL queries, embedded SQL in SQLRPGLE, and cursor programming.
• Manage database objects including physical files, logical files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Implement screen programming using display files, subfiles, and printer files.
• Document business rules and create data mapping documents by analyzing program and data flows.

Required Skills

• Expertise in RPG, RPG ILE, and SQLRPGLE.
• Strong command of Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Advanced SQL knowledge including complex queries and embedded SQL.
• Proficiency with SQL tables and indexes.
• Experience with Message Queue (MQ), MQ Trigger, and embedding XML tags in RPG.
• Ability to work with Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer files.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Turnover configuration management and X-Analysis.
• Knowledge of ROBOT job scheduler and iSeries Navigator for SQL performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Retail Domain processes such as Merchandising, Warehouse Management, or Distribution.
