Description

You will provide technical leadership for enterprise-level open-source initiatives and lead a team of developers in hands-on web application development.

Responsibilities

• Define application architecture, evaluate stacks, and build performance models while ensuring reusability and scalability.
• Lead the transition to Azure DevOps workflows and manage release management using GitFlow.
• Design, develop, and optimize databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS-SQL, Memcached, and Redis.
• Build secure, responsive web applications using Ruby on Rails and integrate GIS-based services via ESRI, Google, or MapBox.
• Refactor code for performance and security, ensuring technical quality and resolving defects during the testing process.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in full-stack development with Ruby on Rails, Ruby, and RVM.
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, LeafletJS, DataTables, Bootstrap, and Polymer.
• Experience with database design and optimization for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS-SQL.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, DataDog, AWS, and Git/GitHub.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Ability to build and integrate RESTful and JSON APIs.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like RSpec, Cucumber, and Travis, along with Jira for project management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions and geospatial data APIs.
• Understanding of network design, security architecture, and role-based access control.
