Description

You will own data governance activities and metadata integrity across enterprise domains. You ensure accuracy and completeness of business and technical metadata while managing the data quality issue lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate adherence to enterprise standards for business and technical metadata.
• Coordinate data governance activities, including defining business data dictionaries and aligning them with physical data assets.
• Manage the data quality issue lifecycle through impact assessments, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Collaborate with application owners, data stewards, and technical teams to articulate requirements, rules, and workflows.
• Drive root cause identification and coordinate prioritization of data-related resolutions with business and IT stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Steward or in a similar data management capability.
• 3+ years of experience in data management focused on defining and managing critical data sets.
• Proficiency in SQL for generating quality assessments and insight generation.
• Extensive knowledge of data management principles, data standards, and business rules.
• Experience creating and using data models and data definitions.
• Proven ability to implement and enforce data control mechanisms.
• Demonstrated experience managing business metadata and resolving data deficiencies.
• Subject matter knowledge of bank operations and/or financial services.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with analysts, architects, and modelers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting hub and spoke governance models.
